Robert Cook - Republican, 4th Congressional District

Robert C. Cook, of Boone County, was appointed by the Governor to the Commission on April 7, 2020 and confirmed by the Missouri Senate on April 8, 2020. He serves from the Fourth Congressional District, for a term through March 15, 2024.

Commissioner Cook is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, holding a variety of positions throughout his career for over 30 years.

Commissioner Cook has resided in Boone County his entire life. He served on the Hallsville School Board from 1990 to 1998, and he is a former member of the Hallsville Park Board. He has been an active participant in civic activities, including the Hallsville Jaycees, the Hallsville Lion’s Club, and the Hallsville Little League.

Commissioner Cook served as a certified MSHSAA official in football, basketball, baseball, and softball in various school districts in central and northern Missouri. He is a past president of the Columbia Basketball Officials Association.

Commissioner Cook became a man of faith in December 1988, serving a ministry of various churches in various capacities in Central Missouri.

Commissioner Cook enjoys spending time with his wife Karen, two children and three grandchildren. He also enjoys walking and hiking, traveling, and playing golf.
